Mike's Red Dwarf Page

This is an SOS distress call from the mining ship Red Dwarf. The crew are dead, killed by a radiation leak. The only survivors were Dave Lister who was in suspended animation during the disaster and his pregnant cat who was safely sealed in the hold. Revived 3,000,000 years later, Listers only companions are a life form who descended from his cat and Arnold Rimmer a hologram of one of the ships dead crew.

Red Dwarf is a British comedy that was first aired on the BBC in 1988. Since then it has had 8 series and has gathered a massive following. The above quote opened the show in the early series and sums the programme up well.
